Advice Required

With my first batch of Angel fry I noticed that some fry has 2 feelers, 1 feeler and some has none. Will these feelers grow back. What could be the cause of the defect.

If a ventral fin (feeler) is damaged and partially lost then it's likely to regrow, but if it's damaged right down to the root, or if it's missing from early in development, then it won't. I notice in your other post that the parents are pearlscales, sadly missing ventrals is a recognised & common defect in pearlscales, and sadly the deformed youngsters will need to be culled.

So that would be the norm whenever this pair spawn, what is the reason behind that pearlscale angel fry will have this defect.

I have another big batch of fry from this pair and will notice this defect again. Will not cull the fry some has arowna so these fry will be serve on a tray to them.

I will be getting these types of Angels to breed pinoy silver, pinoy platinum, zebra clown lace and kois. I was given this pair of pearlscale to breed and see if I enjoy Angels.

I am currently breeding exotic bettas and I am downscaling to start with Angels. I have breed other types of cichlids like Tanganyikans.

I don't think anyone knows, but if I had to guess, since pearlscale causes changes in the structure of the skin it probably disrupts the growing points from which the fins develop, and yes you are likely to see it again in other batches from the same parents.

Not too clear about some of the names of the varieties you plan to breed

pinoy silver,

A pinoy is a fish with one (or two) dark gene(s) and two Philippine blue (pb) genes, so it can't be a silver. I presume you mean a straight forward pinoy rather than smokey pinoy, zebra pinoy etc.

pinoy platinum

A platinum is a fish with two pb genes and two gold genes, since gold and dark are alleles you can't have a pinoy platinum as you can't get two golds & a dark gene in the same fish. A pinoy with one dark and one gold gene, would be darker than a pinoy with one dark & one wild type gene.

zebra clown lace

As defined by Norton who first used the name, a clown is a fish with one zebra one stripeless and one dark gene. These days people tend to use the term for a fish with one zebra and one stripeless gene. Whilst what Norton originally called a clown would now be known as a clown lace. In short, the presence of zebra is implicit in the name clown.
