Spawned in the LFS..
These two proud parents were very impressive when I went to take photos for the local shop. There's a little algae due to the shopkeepers not wanting to disturb them. Please excuse it! The adults are about a hand-span tall, I would quickly home them if it weren't for my upcoming new family of Leopoldis.

They are beautiful, love the yellow on the face, now if they were nearer I would be straight off to buy them!

They are a pretty pair. It's nice to know your lfs has good enough conditions for them to spawn. That's very reassuring.

Sadly the female killed the male last week. She was losing patience with him generally.
I'm going down today to see if she's for sale.

Re: Spawned in the LFS..
I went down yesterday and the female was there, a lot less colourful due to being alone (and I'll assume bored). She was nearly tan all over. I thought about it for a while and took her home.
Upon being bagged she got feisty, spiked the shopkeep and coloured up magnificently. Silly fish! The shopkeeper was pleased as she was hogging a tank up and nobody seemed to want her.
She settled in very quickly, there was a brief tussle with my krib (one nip apiece) and ever since she's been rocketing back and forth with my Leopoldi in the 350L.

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of women on here so i dont think i will wear my chiligum badge at the Cichlid auction, i don't want to get done over! (haven't got a badge really!)
That fish looks better in the new colours now i think, just hope she can keep a lid on her temper!

I think my Trigon is very good at calming new fish due to the shape.

Perhaps it's also because it's situated in a quiet corner too?
