Brine Shrimp Hatching
Hi everyone.
I'm interested to know the best way is to hatch the little critters? Going back many years I can remember the round brine shrimp hatchers which had a central sieve which could be removed with the latest hatchings. When my Dad had the shop I went with him to the fish supplier and he was raising brine shrimp in tall sweet jar with a air line making the water 'boil' and he was getting good results. Have any of you got any tips as to the best way to do it now.

Re: Brine Shrimp Hatching
I used two litre pop bottles. I cut off the bottom, inverted the lid end and placed it in the cut off bottom. The bottom acted as a stand. I then drilled a hole through bottle to accommodate the airline. It worked well. I just turned the air off and waited for the shells to drop to the bottom before harvesting the brine shrimp. Hope this helps.

They certainly do Dean, and very effective too.
