A question of temperature
Hi all, I have been off for a while looking for a place in Norfolk, I want to ask, what is the lowest temp an Angel would be ok in, I don't want to breed them and wondered if a lower temp would help, would like your thoughts........

Re: A question of temperature
They will tolerate temperatures as low as 60 fahrenheit for short periods, in a power cut for example, but as a long term temperature I wouldn't go below 73 -75 f (23-24c).

Re: A question of temperature
my large community tank runs at 25.5 - I'm hoping a happy medium for all - and the two 'spare' female angels left in there seem okay with it.
When I first got all four angels they were in at 23-24 until I read about angels preferring higher temps. The two smokey blushings (the two that have paired off and been moved to their own tank) laid their first batch of eggs at a temp of around 24 so lowering the temp might do nothing.

Re: A question of temperature
the 800 is running at about 27ish ... possibly a bit higher, those glass thermometers arn't that easy to read. I need to get another digital thermometer really for that tank. That's the tank containing the breeding pair of angels
As for my main community tank (my Rio 240) 27 would be too warm for my peppered cories and I doubt curviceps would like it either. 25.5 is a happy medium I hope
