Back from a wet 2 weeks in the Netherlands I am raring to go with the breeding, just hope the fish are. Just before I departed, Mr Big's wife sadly passed away. She was the albino female I had put with the male in my avatar. No idea what it was, she had a nasty red lesion around her vent which appeared overnight, and then she passed away. I dont know whether he attacked her or she got a bacterial infection. Anyway, he is in his cube, all alone, and now Im not sure what to do with him, whether to try him with another lady. He is getting quite old now, looks old, but I do value his genetics, even though I have some offspring with half of his genes from when he mated with the gold. So he is the question mark at the moment.

I have done all my water changes today and I am just waiting for some breeding action! The fish were on autofeeders with prima or flake in whilst I was away. I need to get them into shape with some bloodworm. The problem I had with camallanus has gone thanks to JBL Nedol suggested by a group member (thank you!). The young blacks are growing well and flexing their muscles and I am expecting a pair to form soon, there is one aggressive male who chases the rest away from his "end" and another unsexed who hangs with him. The koi are also growing. I have one who looks like Martin Scorcese. Another like Groucho. Not many people can say that. post holiday update! 10491211_1456510524611650_8424768219685211887_n

Got babies! Wrigglers from one of my my blue angel pairs. The male is veiltail too. The eggs appeared on 26th, day before my birthday! Soon it will be brine shrimp central in the fish room. I got eggs from another blue pair who ate them straight away, and my gold pair laid eggs in a somewhat unusual formation, a thin line down the slate and lots on the floor. I thought the ones on the floor would be infertile, but they havent turned white yet.

Congrats on the wrigglers. Sounds like you're soon going to have your hands full!

That's how I like it. When my holidays were coming up I felt like my hands were tied.
