Re: Is my new Angel a Female please?
Hi Jay,
Welcome to the forum.
Best I can say is maybe. Some angels are very obvious as to sex, others less so, the head profile looks very male to me, but the long flat distance between ventrals & anal fin, and the fat belly are both female characteristics.
I hope you don't mind my saying, but whilst your male looks to have recovered well since you rescued him, he still looks very thin above the eyes, he would probably benefit from a course of wormer (assuming you haven't already treated him for worms) and some very regular feeding, to get him into even better condition, before you try to breed from him.

Sounds like she's keen. That he's feeding well is a good sign, good luck with him/them!

Hi Jay,
Been away for a few months in Scotland and only had my note book and being so small the pictures were hard to see. Be well pleased you have a pair there.

Well the good news is that you have a pair.
Hopefully you'll build up from 6 survivors with your next batch from them
