feeding fry

Hi all
I was wondering if anyone has use "interpet liquifry"
for feeding new born angelfish or is it better to stick to bbs.

In my opinion there's nothing better than BBS for fry. I believe liquifry contains egg yolk powder (or similar) which is full of protein but can pollute easily and is normally used for the smallest of fry. After the first week this food is too small for most fry.

As the fry grow you can start introducing small amounts of small dry foods.

BBS is what I always use but there are many breeders out there that have sucessfully raised fry on tiny crumb, the number of fry raised go down a little though.

I tried Liquifry with my first spawn years ago. Sjones is right about it polluting the water. The growth rate was much slower than with bbs too. I agree with Sjones and Ghipsi - bbs is best.

I too would say BBS is best.

If you don't want to go to the trouble of hatching bbs, ocean nutrition do an excellent preserved bbs in a jar, but it's a much more expensive option, decapsulated bs is another option. Both of these are superior to liquifry for baby angels, but the movement of the live bbs makes them much more attractive to fry and well worthg the effort of hatching!
