Visit to Lisa and Tony
Hi
A couple of weeks ago I made the Journey from Plymouth, Devon to North Wales were I visited Ghipsi (Lisa) and Tony from Tony's Angels. I would like to take this oppertunity to thank them both for the warm welcome and I had a very pleasant day in their fish houses just talking fish. I have attached some photo's of the fish I purchased from them and apologise to them both for the quality of the pictures it does not do their fish justice. I have recently bought a new camera and still have'nt worked out the best settings for fish photography, but these will give you some idea of the quality of their fish.
Regards
Kim

I think it was nearly 300 miles each way , so yes a bit of a journey but an enjoyable day out all the same.

I cant take any credit with the quality of Lisa and Tony's fish it would have been hard not to get good angels.

Hi Kim
Thanks for the nice comments.
hoping to back cross a young female black pearlscale vail tail marble that has the platinum blue and the titainium blue gene in her from mum, and put her with her dad who is a red eyed albino vail tailed.
with the hope that i can get the red eye in to the young.
as you know i,me not into the genetics of angels but do like to cross breed to see what i get some times its a nice surprise.
cheers Tony

Understanding the genetics can be fun, and if you've a particular goal in mind, it can be very helpful, but there's a lot to be said for the pleasure of surprise. It's often the unexpected which ends up as your favourite. Even when you think you know the genetics, you can be surprised by what appears in a spawn!some times its a nice surprise.

Hi Tony
Like you unfortunately I do not fully understand angelfish genetics(I am too old to change now), so i wish you well with your little experiment to get the red eyes in your fish and hopefully will see you at the BCA auction next month all the best

Hi Pterophyllum
Yes your probably right about the genes helping , but i have crossed all my fish so many times they are all ( as the saying goes ) Heinz 57,s and it would be a nightmare just trying to work out all the combernations i have done over the years. i look at cross breeding like doing the lottery one day you just might win big.
cheers Tony
