BLUE KOI AND BLUE KOI PARAIBA
I've just taken a delivery of the above from Ghipsi. Expertly packaged. These babies are only small, but have loads of potential. Here's some pics taken while still in the bags:-

They certainly have, only small, but have loads of potential
I look forward to seeing photos when they've had chance to settle in.

I'll try my best Rob, but I'm sure they won't do them justice.

They're still a little shy. When I get close to the tank they retreat to the back. I don't suppose it will be long before they start begging for food like the rest of my little piggies! I am keeping an eye on the biggest smokey paraiba. I've not seen him eat anything yet.

Thanks Paul. I'm really excited to see how they develop as they grow. I can't tell the difference between the het pb and the paraibas as yet, with the exception of one or two. I can tell which one is the blue silver gold marble ghost though.

Get some brine shrimp in them & they will all have a good munch

I've been feeding bbs, but he seems to hang at the back and not even attempt to go for it. It's possible he waits for me to leave before eating I guess. Perhaps he is eating, just not while i'm watching.Ghipsi wrote:Get some brine shrimp in them & they will all have a good munch

Hi Helen i have found if i have fish that wont eat i feed them Gamma frozen brineshrimp with garlic & it seems to do a treat, enough for them to start looking at all foods offerd.Plus my QT tanks are clearseal which have tinted back glass so i have the back as the front & this seems to take the glare of the tank & reduces skitishness in nervos fish hence they start to eat quite quickly.

Thanks Paul. The tank they are in has smoke effect glass. I did see the smokey eat a few bbs this morning, but he wasn't really going for them. Maybe he will be a bit more enthusiastic as time goes by.

They have a lovely shine in the dorsals!
One of my wild Altums didn't eat for 4 weeks but i kept on and on and in the end they were all eating flake which took some persuading and no casualties!
