Interesting Blue Observation!
I have supplied two LFS with some of my blue angels, from my pair, I got Blue Silvers, Marbles and Smokies (poss some chocolates looking at the coverage), and some were pearlscale, so 6 different sorts.
There were far fewer silvers (not sure why) so when the LFS got a batch they were the minority, I visited both stores this weekend and both had sold all the silvers! This leads me to believe my next project when I come back from holiday should focus maybe on the silvers?
I love all the blues I have to say but my favourites are definitely the smokies (pearl or normal), so I think the general public are missing something!! lol
I have noticed a lack of platinums round here, I'm hoping I have a pair amongst my 3, just hope they'd hurry up!

Re: Interesting Blue Observation!
I have two lfs holding out for some offspring from my smokey blushings but my pair are not playing ball. They've spawned about 5 times now but eaten the eggs each time. I've not had a spawn now for ages and I've about given up on raising any fry with them.
It would seem some types of angel are more popular than others and there's no accounting for personal taste in people. I see a heck of a lot of marbled and koi around these parts - in fact it's rare to see anything else but and they seem to be popular. Personally I'm not overly keen on koi's - mostly because they're so common I think. I wanted something a bit rarer (for my area) so was so excited to see the smokey blushings. It would be nice to get some of my fry out into the lfs to see if they fly out of the tanks!
I also had a platinum female but had to get the lfs to re-home her as she was attacking my pair ... I went to the same lfs a week later and she'd gone so I guess she wasn't there very long. Hang in there with your blues, there will always be someone who's looking for something a bit more unusual
