My first eggs (on legs)
G/g x Gm/gm(g?) - S/s
Gold x Koi 20150226 [5 Days Old]
I have between 50 to 100 wrigglers which are about to go free swimming in the next few days. I have the baby brine shrimp cooking away and it's all looking good. The parents were on that occasion sneaky egg eaters. The eggs now look a bit like this:
---0o (wiggle wiggle)
and I can see their tiny black eyes (I swear one of them winked at me, cheeky).
No filter, so 50% daily water changes with mature water (which is itself improving in clarity since I added more filter material to double the filter capacity and removed the substrate sand as its quality was questionable) with added MB to keep the same concentration of anti-septic strength constant. Didn't add the MB for a couple of days (I thought I could keep the problems under control, big mistake!) Temp quite low at 26C, the heater needs a service
I think the fry will be either 100% White Gold Marble Ghosts or 50% of them could be Gold Ghost, depending on whether the female is Gm/gm OR Gm/g. If she's Gm/g then it's 50/50.
To be frank, I'm not sure if my male is G/g (Gold) or G/g - S/+ (Gold Ghost), so they could be just a 50/50 split of what their parents were (50% Gold Ghost and 50% Koi) OR (25% Gold Ghost, 25% Sunset Blusher, 25% White Gold Marble Ghost and 25% Koi)... only time will tell, actually, I kinda like the look of a sunset blusher
Any and all feedback welcomed!

Free Swimming
All free swimming now - overhead shot of angel fish fry 10 days old:
120 of them seem to be doing quite well, but there's a small number of fry (which resemble the shape of a hatchet fish) these seem to be struggling to swim up. I've given them a nudge and swished them towards the baby brine shrimp, they can wiggle, but haven't developed in the same way as the majority. They seem slightly larger than the others, but I suspect that they were the first ones to go free swimming and then ran out of food, or are they're just runts that aren't going to develop?
