Photos, lots & lots....
I have one of my display tanks in the dining room, and sitting there this evening having my meal I couldn't help thinking how nice one of my blue marbles was looking, so after supper I set to with the camera. Many, indeed most of the fish were very obliging, but one, guess who, refused to pose. So here are a lot of photos, mostly from that one tank, but none of the fish I really wanted to share with you all.....
Czech bred Rio Nanay F1
50% Manacapuru
Blue marble nephews to "Mr elusive"
Czech bred Half black
Female koi, she's paired up with "Mr Elusive" who you can just see skulking in the background
finally some that I've got growing on in the fish room....
A few koi...
I don't think much to his colour, but I love the pattern on this one (I call him Barcode) :-
a striated koi (striated - refers to the horizontal bands in the dorsal fin, something that's not normally seen in blushing fish, compare this dorsal with that of the koi in the other photos)
Before the advent of the Philippine blue gene there were a couple of other varieties know as blue, one of these was "blue koi" in other words blushing silver gold marble (Gm/+ - S/S). A few years ago I produced a chocolate blue koi, but until now I've not managed to produce any paraiba blue koi, this one's a Paraiba Smokey blue koi (Gm/+ - S/S - Sm/+ - pb/pb)

They're hosted on photobucket & I think they're having problems with the site. I can see the photos now (couldn't earlier) but I can't currently log on to the site itself.
