Tanks,Tanks,Tanks
I was looking at tanks in Wharf Aquatics the other day, nice tanks but very expensive, 180 ltr £528, I am after a Jewel Rio 180, there are lots on e-bay, I am also waiting for a reply from Tank Solutions, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I am all ears..........

New tank
I have now bought a new tank from Pond Solutions, it's a 198 litres, should be great for Angels as it's 29" deep, how do I put a photo on ?

The easiest way is to host it on a site like Photobucket and then use the insert an image icon
I'll try to do a more detailed post in the photo section soon.

Thanks Ptero; it is coming on Monday, I am not having the Base, just the tank, as I have a base, so it's getting rather exciting, and lots to do......Pterophyllum wrote:That seems to have worked

Glad that worked,
I've done a more detailed, "how to post a photo" post here.... http://www.uk-angelfishforum.org.uk/t651-how-to-post-a-photo#4364

Thought it better to reply in this thread :-What did you think to the Tank?
It's difficult for me to comment as, as a "bricks & mortar" retailer, I don't have any experience of "All pond" aquariums.
With Chinese manufactured products, quality control is the key, I've seen some very good Chinese manufactured products, but I've also been offered products that I wouldn't stock even if I was given them free!

Thanks Pterophyllum, for your honest reply, I won't know until Monday as to the quality, the read up was good, I just hope it's as good as they say, I did like the look of it, and with the lights and filter in the lid, will let you know........

Tank arrived at 10 am, all is good, a solid frame aluminium corrosion resistant, it's massive, the lid opens in 3 parts one for the filter area, one for access to the tank, and one to take the whole lid off, lighting is in the middle section t5 and white light.......it is guaranteed for 12 months and 6 months for the glass and other components, it comes with a raft of stuff, heater, bio- balls, temperature gage, activated carbon, ceramic noodles........the best thing is it is a 29" high, good for angels........Brian1 wrote:Thanks Pterophyllum, for your honest reply, I won't know until Monday as to the quality, the read up was good, I just hope it's as good as they say, I did like the look of it, and with the lights and filter in the lid, will let you know........

I think you'll find that your legal rights entitle you to a longer guarantee than that!guaranteed for 12 months and 6 months for the glass and other components
I have to say I'm not a fan of the in hood style of filtration, I worry that it's too easy for overflows to become blocked by snails etc. and then the water can end up in unexpected places!
29" is a very nice height for angels.
Glad you're pleased with it.

On landscape photos you need to set the width to a maximum of 800 & keep the height in proportion :-
