Veiltail male
This is Gabriel.
This picture doesn't really do him justice. It was taken from a funny angle which makes his body shape look a little odd. This is because he is a complete media tart. If he sniffs anything that might be a lens then he is instantly straight on to the glass, flapping his fins for the camera. This, of course, makes him very difficult to photograph.
I know what i THINK are his genetics but what do you all think ?
My money is on s/+, v/+ and maybe that is all there is to it.
I am particularly interested in the bronze colour to his back with the distinct red patch.
I am not sure if the blue ventrals are significant, but they are definitely blue and not white.
I bought him from a LFS as a juvenile, and he was completely misdescribed.
They said he was a zebra angel. Zebra he isn't and they didn't mention veiltail at all.
They did say that he was bred in Singapore and MIGHT have had one wild parent, but that is by no means certain.
I haven't bred from him yet, but i will do soon. He is next in line for a legover in the breeding tank, just as soon as i have the tank space and i can select a mate for him.

Re: Veiltail male
I think you're bang on the money with your ID.
The red crown is not uncommon, but in my opinion it's a desirable feature
