Re: Platinum Angel
Looking forward to seeing piccys.
To get your images: when you have pressed upload you need to wait a little while for your images to upload to the image server, if your images are large it could take a while (depending on connection speeds), when they are uploaded you will get the option of 3 codes to copy and past onto your post (I usualy choose the middle one ).
Hope this helps, Lisa (the first time you try it may not seem to work but if you try again I usualy works fine & then fine from them onwards).

Re: Platinum Angel
Hi Lisa
I have a couple of young blue angels, if i cant find a platinum by the time they are ready (approx 2 months) i may well use one of them. I will try and get some half decent pics of them and post them later.
Regards
Kim

Re: Platinum Angel
Hi Kim. Beautiful plat you have. I managed to find a juvenile male plat at my local Pets at Home. So you could ask yours, if you have one, if they ever stock them. Alternatively, a local dependent aquatic store may be able to order some in for you. I hope your search proves fruitful. Please let us know the outcome.

Just a thought, why not check out eBay. I know there's plats in an auction at the moment.

Re: Platinum Angel
Yes there are some nice angels on ebay at the moment but unfortunately they will not post, I may live down here in God's country but it is so far away from everyone else.(most of the breeders sellers are either in the midlands or up north) I have been checking the local fish shops but we are going through a lean time with quality down here at the moment.

Re: Platinum Angel
Hi Kim. Don't forget that your 'platinum' angel is also a 'blue' angel, it has to have 2 doses of the pb gene to be a plat as well as 2 doses of gold. This means that if you cross it to the blues you have all the babies will be some type of 'blue' depending on what other genes are in the mix. You may even get more plats if your blues carry a hidden gold gene.

Thanks Grummie I am not that savvy on angelfish genetics but that has made up my mind I will definately cross one of the platinums with one of my blues I reckon the young should be quite nice. I will still have the second plat to mate with a male plat if I find one.
