Re: EBAY LISTING
What are your views on the cost of each fish and P&P? Do you all think its a fair price?

Re Cost
I think your cost is a little high for the average punter on ebay if they buy 3 fish off of you cost 18 plus 16 postage total of 34 poungs average cost of over 11 pounds per fish they should be able to buy angels at their local shop same size around 5 pounds each. I am not saying that your fish are not worth the price far from it they are stunning and they could not be purchased in your average LFS. I am just saying if you want to attract casual buyers you may have to look at both costs postage and fish. (Average price for most fish posted on ebay at moment 12 pounds) I hope you do not take this post as critism as i said your fish are stunning it just that the average punter will have no idea about angelfish genetics but he will know about the pounds in his wallet.

Re: EBAY LISTING
Thanks for your honesty Kim. I would say it's constructive criticism. I think i'll drop the postage to £12.00. I'll leave the Angel price the same as there is a "Best Offer" option.

Re: EBAY LISTING
Well done Helen on the posting and and add
I have sold various things on ebay over the last 10 years including fish and if you get your adds right you will do well (I was even a stamp dealer for a few years ).
Whenever you plan an add (epecialy on ebay), try to put yourself in a buyers position. What do you think when you read through ebay adds? Do you instantly beleive what is being said about the item? Would you pay the price asked for the item?
As with all adds it is 'Cavet emptor' (buyer beware), so basicaly you need to realy sell with your description and images
So if you follow a few key ingredients you should do well
Tital: This is where you get the interest going, your tital: PINOY GHOST AND PINOY SMOKEY ANGELFISH
I would put 'Stunning Rare Pinoy Angelfish, YES PINOY pb/pb' (are they KK lines? if so add that to the tital)
Don't bother with the sub heading as it just costs more money.

Re: EBAY LISTING
Thanks ghipsi. I never thought of them a "rare", but if you say they are, they must be! I suppose I could say they are from Wharmby angels lines too.

The only problem with the pb/pb is that I'm not even sure whether John's fish are pb or some other blue gene. What are your thoughts because mum is one of John's Smokey pinoy paraibas.

OK, all of the fish that I have had from John carry pb, but I do find that the blue takes longer to express then other pb lines.
The reason I say mention Ken Kennedy if they are from his lines is that KK lines sell with the name.
If you aren't sure they are pb/pb then mention that some may be pb het (don't mention this as a down side, it is still a possative!). OK back to Images:
Take this image for example:
If I were advertising the Koi in this image I would not use the whole image, it is untidy and dosn't do the individuals justice.
Therefore this image would be cropped down to:
Description: Now is the crunch, describe as fully as possable, make every point sound good!
and don't forget to metion the UK Angelfish Forum

Re: EBAY LISTING
oops forgot to mention: If you are selling with buy it now, then make sure you have more than one available in the selling quantity as people may want a small number of the fish to offset the postage costs

Re: EBAY LISTING
Thanks for the tips. I have revised the listing. I did not change the pics as it's too much hassle at the moment, but I will if I have to re-list them. Here's the link:

Sorry, I just don't have the time to get to these events. I'm trying to juggle working; angelfish keeping and looking after four kids and a hubby. I could always post some. If you're interested just pm me.
