Awful story
I belong to a couple of Angel facebook groups, this week was a harrowing story from a breeder from the USA
Quote:
What a horrible morning!!!! We had problems with our well and was connected to the other well in the subdivision. Apparently they must have added chlorine to the well. I decided this morning to go ahead with the water changes before they turned our well back on after replacing pipes. I always get so much air in the water and silt after they work on the well. So trying to avoid that I did a big water change this morning on most of the breeder tanks. I'm loosing fish left and right. I already lost my beautiful pinoy chocolate and her mate the wifi pinoy clown is down in a corner barely alive. I added dechlor just within minutes of noticing something was off but it didn't help. I think I might loose 6 pairs today. I'm so glad I didn't do water changes on the big tanks and was able to move all the breeders out of their tanks into ones that didn't have the water change. I just don't know if I got to them in time or not. Not a happy camper right now!!!
She had her water tested at 2.2 ppm initially where .8 to .9 is apparently normal. The official test on the water was 4.52 !! She was advised not to drink the water!
I understand she is in contact with a lawyer.
What a truly upsetting day she must have had, I think she has been left with two pairs? Her fish were beautiful!
Just shows how careful you have to be.
