the one in the living room
This ones a bit of an odd size . 36x20x20 inches in 10mm glass. got it years ago for a song due to the demise of lfs (boo no-one likes to see that)
currently have gone a bit Walstad -hybrid. Has a soil substrate, mineralised (ish-well enough to remove all the floaty scum and woodchip from a bag of b&qs cheapest potting soil mixed through 50/50 with a bag robbed from work of what is clay absorbant)
This is capped with my councils finest road spreading grit. I say hybrid because i use this tank to mature filter media for other projects so its currently running 2 x 1000l/h externals (one of them leaks) and of course it gets window light ,it also has an LED bar on top 10 hours a day for good measure too. Plant growth is, however best described as average
"
thats kind of a frontal view
this one is some of the fish in it, i still call them fish, many say "stock"
another of its inhabitants,
its an open topped tank so looking down into it is always a delight along side allowing me to stick bits of wood out the top and have loads of water lettuce.
anyway in time i hope to better proof my pictures but i hope u enjoy these ones
