could anything else go wrong
at least now i've remembered /worked out how to put photos on ill get round to posting whats in that tank rather than whats leaking out the bottom
now wheres those tea towels !!

*groan* my very worst nightmare. I live in a first floor flat ... I used to think the concrete floor would save me until I got a leak in my bathroom this year and it brought the ceiling down in the flat below

to be honest alot has to be said for good housekeeping. it would have been really easy to trail the extension bar that runs all the gubbins leaving it on the deck next to the cannister filter. could have been an awful lot more frightening if that weren't mounted and drip looped etc.
whoever said cable ties were not obligatory was wrong lol.
I guess keeping wiring tidy and out of the way of accidents is the positive to take from this

indeed and when I get moved and get my brand new tank the electrics will be hung up too. At the moment my extension bar is on the floor but it's around the side from the tank stand. It's not really safe but I can't do much else with it right now. I'm not allowed to drill the wall as I'm renting and I don't want to drill the tank stand when the tank is sat on it and full of water! I'll be better prepared when I'm setting up the new tank!
