Re: I'm Going Blackwater
I think I've mentioned before that maths isn't my thing so your calculations have gone a bit over my head. I think for safety I'm going to reduce the tea bags to no more than 3 in the litre jug and watch closely for the signs you've mentioned.
This method came from another forum and a member there that had been using this method for more than a year. Sadly I've left that forum now so I can't go back to pick his brains a little on this otherwise I would have done it already

Re: I'm Going Blackwater
Hi I was just wondering if there's an update on your fish Dean?

Update...
Having some issues getting on internet atm, hence why I haven't posted much. It's very awkward on my mobile Grrrrr.
As for the fish. Due to having moved the young fish on and then having water problems, the number of fish I have doesn't justify keeping the fish room warm.
Thankfully, the Pinoy pair have escaped without harm, mainly because they were isolated from the others right from the start. I have set up a 4 foot aquarium in the room, just for them. They should be in tomorrow, when the chlorine has bubbled off. I like to give it 48 hours, just to be sure.
I don't know if the others will pull through, so they're isolateded. They have no interest in food and have been treated with Octozin. I can count them on one hand.
Have had a rough couple of weeks! Taking stock, so to speak, will have to focus on the things that are going right. Hearts still in it though :-)

Re: I'm Going Blackwater
Hi glad you got back in touch. I was getting concerned. I also have Internet troubles too as my laptop keeps crashing. I've now got myself a reasonably cheap tablet until my laptop can be fixed.
I hope things pick up for you Dean, I really do. All the best x

Re: I'm Going Blackwater
The Pinoy pair seem safe and spawned on 17th but the eggs are gone!
I have no other fish, the bg's went one by one, they were not eating. Some seemed to sprout fungus from their gut, they had been treated over the past couple of months with Tremazol bath, Fenbendzole with food, Octozin but whatever they had was very difficult to treat. The tea just added to their problems.
A hard lesson, 'stuff' happens, I"m over it and it's the start of a new chapter.
More options now :-)

Oh I'm really sorry to hear that Dean, it's really really sad. As you say, onwards now. There's nothing else that can be done. Lesson learned and go forwards. Good luck
