Map according to lfs
I was at a different lfs yesterday, their Angels mainly come from Czech Republic, she called them Map angels, I wish I'd taken a picture now! anyway they were silvers, Zebras and I suppose clowns? their bodies were more diamond shape, but their Dorsal and Anal fins were very upright and long and brown, they weren't flowing like veils, more like I'd expect an Altum to look perhaps, but even at their small size the fins were long.
Anyone know what they were from my bad description? They have some "Map" angels on ebay, but they look nothing like the ones I saw.

Re: Map according to lfs
My understanding is that Czech breeders use the name "Map" for marbled smokey fish, the suggestion is that the dark shading caused by the marble gene, the lighter shading caused by the smokey gene and the lighter silver areas resemble the shading of a "Map".
With tongue firmly in my cheek I coined the name "Treasure Map" for smokey gold marbles on the basis that if a Marbled smokey = a Map then a gold Marbled smokey = a gold map which counts as a treasure map in my book.
Sometimes confusion arises between breeder & consumer, and sometimes things get misnamed, which seems to be the case in this instance.
