Hi Gibbo,
Lots of potential with those.....
...and yes, I can believe the algae looks worse on the photos, many a time I've taken photos having "cleaned" the glass only to find that infact it's filthy!

Some youngsters just moved to the display tank Empty Angels

Post  TONY,S ANGELS Sat 13 Apr 2013, 04:55

Hi gibbo
You have got a good strong yellow in your pics and yellow always look's weak when i try to get a shot
of my yellow marbles or g/m as they are. Also there is some nice tall dorsals in your fish.
I must say the first thing i was thinking is i bet them young would be a good cross with a
Blue platinum or like strain, Have you any plans to do that sort of cross.
Also nice to see all the sward plants in the tank my faverate.
Cheers Tony

The plan is to get to a pure white platinum veiltail and a solid blue veiltail. A year ago i gave myself three years to acheive this. I find that it is easier to have a goal in mind when deciding what to breed. I have got veil tails that i need so now i am working on the colours that i want.
This batch was from a pair that i was letting go because i had run out of room for adult fish. ( i moved 15 adults out of my display tank the other week! ) I wanted some babies from them before they went. So they weren't really in the breeding project at all, but now that i see the colours i know that i will be able to use them.
I have trouble photographing certain colours as well, with me the blues always look white or silver.

Hi Paul i still have some gm/g, s/+, pb/pb and gm/g, s/s, pb/pb , they are quite small but healthy. You are welcome to some if you can get here to collect them. Send me a PM if you are interested. You can see some in the pictures in my other thread. I don't need the gm in my breeding project so they have to go.

Those pics look very familiar! Smile

How many babies did you move to the big tank? All 9 of mine are thriving, the blue really shows well. 2 of the platinums have black on the dorsal and anal fins, they look like Bulgarian Seal Points! Totally unexpected but they are lovely. I'll definitely be keeping them in the long term.

The veils have settled finally, no more arguements and feeding well Smile

Anyone who has Gibbo's babies is very lucky, they're all smashing and incredibly healthy.
