i.d. please
Picked up a new Angel at the weekend. Pretty sure its a female, but would like to get a second opinion from more trained eyes.
Also, could you tell me what type it is?
Many thanks.

Hi David,
It's a gold blushing, AKA sunset.
It certainly looks like a female to me.

Re: i.d. please
Thanks mate, I knew you would be able to help me out.
If you can remember my pair of marbles I have put the male from that pair with this one in the community tank as the other female was raising a brood... unfortunately she has eaten them, lol, so I have a dilemma as to where to put her? Might source a new male for this one and put the marbles back together.
Going to give them a rest though first and maybe try again in a month or two.
What would you do?
Thanks again.

In general I find that the best way to get them to successfully parent raise is to give them them a settled environment with the minimum of disruption, but since the marbles were fighting and you've now paired the male with this one, I'd probably give this pair a shot.

Thanks for the reply.
Would you wait a while or go straight away?
Thinking of planting the tank up a little and adding some wood this time.

Giving them cover in the form of a few plants (amazon swords & anubias work well for me) is a good idea. If both are currently in the same tank & happy together, then I'd move them both in, if not, it sometimes helps to let the female settle in for a day or so and introduce the male when she's starting to look a bit plump.

New tank setup and the female added. Gonna get a few plants tomorrow to make it a little more homely.
