What would you like to see?
With School & Family holidays to consider I try to organise my breeding schedule so that I'm not leaving my parents with lots of young babies to feed. That way there's no need for them to be messing around with brine shrimp; and rather than having to come over and feed daily, they can just pop in every so often to check that things are running properly!
As a result, at the moment all my tanks are filled either with babies growing on ready to go to the shop, or growing on as potential breeders, or filled with bickering adults who'd really like the chance to procreate!
Fairly soon some of them will be given the chance, but I realise that I have far more potential parents than I have tanks to put them in!
So to help me narrow my selection down, I'd like to ask :-
1. What are your top 5 favourite varieties of angel?
2. What variety(s) of angels would you like to see that you can't find at the moment? (I know platinum pearlscales are on Fallons' wish list!)

Re: What would you like to see?
Its a great question, one I'm trying to answer for myself too . The problem I have seems to be people always want what you don't have.......do blacks and they want silvers.....do silvers and they want koi......its quite frustrating! Atm I'm doing what pleases me, the fish I have are the results of crosses I thought may prove interesting, I simply don't have the space to produce 'to order' and also satisfy my own interests. From the requests I've had, black, marble, platinum and wild type plus any of the blue blues seem popular. Smokey, gold and zebra are slower to move(unless they're blue)........oh yes, koi are always popular!
My top 5 are...
1. Koi
2. Marble with a good gold crown
3. Paraibas (any type)
4. Blue smokey
5. Wild type
I'd like to see high coverage orange koi.....

Re: What would you like to see?
I know that feeling. The problem I have seems to be people always want what you don't have
Me too, the problem is that I have so many projects on the go that I'm not sure which to prioritize.Atm I'm doing what pleases me
I have a project involving some interesting marbles I have, but this is a long term project which will require two sibling crosses, and then mating the offspring from one cross with some from the other. It will probably also require 4 or five test crosses. In all probability all these crosses will produce nothing more interesting than veiltail & standard fin golds, gold marbles and marbles.
I have my koi project which will require 3 or four different pairings. These will gives koi, sunsets and a small number of paraiba koi and paraiba sunsets.
I have some sunsets and paraiba sunsets I'm keen to work on (I could combine this with the koi project to some extent)
I would like to produce some paraiba pinoys and have two routes to that goal:-
I have pinoy ghosts, which mated to a suitable paraiba would give 25% pinoy paraibas.
I also have some smokey black lace blushing veils that are heterozygous for pb, these would give similar results with the added benefit of giving me blue veils of various varieties, the drawback being the need to sort pinoys from blacks that are heterozygous for pb.
I have siblings to the black lace blushing veils that are black lace leopard veils, and others that are plain leopard veils, I really like these and would like to use them too, but doing so would reduce the number of paraibas in the offspring.
I have my blue marbles, which are without a doubt my favourite blue variety, many of these are blue smokey marbles. I really want to work with these, I'd especially like to to get some paraiba smokey marbles.
I'd like to investigate the influence of the gold gene on blue colouration, it seems to have a profound affect on the colouration of blue marbles M/g cf M/+, and also seems to affect colour in blue smokeys.
I really want to try to get my manacapurus to breed, either with each other, or with some of my domestics.
I've got some fish that are showing a good amount of blue glitter, I'd like to work with that
etc. etc. etc.
I've only got 5 breeding, 6 grow-on/holding and 1 35 litre "emergency" tanks!
Hence this post.
