My new aquisitions!
I didn't buy many fish at the BCA auction only a couple of lots (spent most of my pennies on food, heaters & sponge filters ), but the fish I got are spectacular
I got some Blue Gene Jack Dempsey youngsters to grow on for my Electric Blue Jack Dempsey project, the quality of these youngsters is second to non
And a group of young Nanacara Anomarla (Golden Eye Cichlids), I have been after these Dwarves for some time now & I am chuffed to bits as I haddn't even noticed them in the catalogue until they came up for auction

Yeah, I've been waiting for the photos too (although hopefully I'll see them in the flesh soon enough!)

Nice pics Lisa. Do the Jack Dempseys colour up as they age? When you say "Blue Gene carrying", do you mean they have single dose?

Yes they are only young and will colour up with age, the ones I got last time are bigger now & coloured up but rather shy .
Yes they carry a single dose of the Electric Blue Gene, 2 needed for expression but fry don't always thrive if you breed two Electric Blue Jack Dempseys together.

Oh, I see. How long before they'll be ready to breed? Also can you sex them yet?

Not realy expecting any breeding for a good few months on the newbies, but the larger BGJD should be ready to breed soon.
Can sex the nanacara, but not the young BGJD yet. Buts its all go here
