Advice please

I have a pair, just youngsters, they've managed to get a dozen babies swimming, they've also spawned twice since, this last spawn they've not bothered about too much (lost of fungus) and have been quite happy with the fry having a nibble, I'm in a dilemma.

I'm DESPERATE to give them a water change......

I've been attacked every time I've gone to feed the babies

Should I just bite the bullet and remove the fry and let them raise the next spawn in fresh water (this is what I'm thinking I should do!)

Interesting (to me anyway), they fry with mum and dad are swimming much better than the ones I pinched from a pair of serial munchers!

I'm still lost as to why I had 100s of fry last year and this year I'm struggling!!

1st question.
Have you been doing daily partial water changes of about 25% even before the eggs were laid. If not that could be the reason the parents are attacking you and why your getting fungi.

I read somewhere parents spawn when with fry to feed the fry? I think ! lol

seem to have lost a reply, I was changing water regularly until they spawned, then I've left alone while they were wrigglers and now free swimmers, they fry are coming up 3 weeks and I'm desperate to do a water change, this is their first spawn that haven't been eaten, and they've spawned twice more since.

Generally I remove the parents when the fry are 2-3 weeks free swimming.
