Three new pairings!
I am now excitedly awaiting 3 new spawnings from 3 pairs I have put together:
My Paraiba Male is now with a beautiful Platinum Female, fingers crossed she has a ghost gene, but my mail objective is Blue Marbles
My 2 youngsters from my Red Devil breeding project have layed & eaten, so now awaiting the next spawning, I am expecting them to get a little further this time.
I have put one of my Pinoys (Wharbys, Male after all , the other could be female) with one of Daves Singapore Blue X Wilds, I am aiming to improve the body shape on the blacks & add the singapore blue genes to get the pinoy colour stronger & earlier
All exciting stuff

All good pairings,
Presumably the paraiba is a paraiba marble, if so any chance of a photo?

Re: Three new pairings!
ok, rather suprized to find that the 3 pairings ave all got wrigglers that will be free swimming in a day or so, was expecting them to need some practice before getting to this stage. Two of the pairings have an experienced partner but the inexperienced ones seem to be doing all the work , still not holding my breath though.

Re: Three new pairings!
Well the Wharmbys Pinoy & his experienced wife (Wild X Singapore Blue) have got a rather large batch of freeswimmers
Here is a piccy from before they went free swimming:
As expected 1/2 of the batch are blacks (1/4 should be Pinoy, in theory).
The Platinum & Koi Paraiba pair also have freeswimmers & mum, even though inexperienced, seems to be very good at her job even clever enough to attack my hand rather than the tube when syponing her tank (and she has a very powerful bash/nip style ).
The you young Red Devils breeding program pair had 5 freeswimming but have layed again (freeswimmers now gone as expected), unfortunatly dad has taken his guarding details too seriously and forgot to fertalize the majority of the eggs, but they are young and need to be given time to learn

Re: Three new pairings!
I recon there were about 600 to 800ish wrigglers but probably a few less now they are freeswimming

Re: Three new pairings!
Right, time for an update on the pairs
The red Devil lot, as expected, are still practising & hopefully next spawn will give a nice batch.
The Koi Paraiba & Platimum are perfect parents. I was hoping that Platinum mum would be carrying a stripless gene & it looks as if my guess may have been correct (Yipeeeeeeeeeee ), as this would mean that I would get Blue Gold Marbles, Koi Paraiba, Platinum & Platinum Paraiba from the batch, well I have been looking very carefuly and a number of the batch have visable gill colouring & a number don't seem to . Still got fingers crossed but here are some piccys:
The Pinoy spawn is also doing very well and dad has decided to show his lovely finnage for us, unfortunaly the tank they are in is dark and he won't show his colours for me but the second image is of him or his brother showing the colour they have.
