How's yer Mama an them?

Post  frapadoodle on Sun 19 Jul 2015, 13:00

Hello all across The Pond. Titleis just an old greeting from here in the Southern U.S., from Georgia myself.
Was informed of your forum by Akasha, so thought I would have a look.
A little background, my first two fish, when I was a boy of eight were Angels. A pair of Scalare males. Later added a female Marble. Had a couple of spawns and eve free swimmers once.
Well as the fish died off, and became interested in other things, as teenage boys do, I gave up fishkeeping.
Fast foward a couple dozen years and Mrs. doodle decides she wants Goldfish. The poor dears, lasted almost two years. I was still doing things the way I was taught in the late Seventies, before the interweb, and the easy access to information, and fellow fishkeepers from around the world.
Well I had to have Angels again. So I got four, deciding if I got a pair, great. If not, so be it. I ended with two pair and a four foot tank was not big enough. So my Scalare male and Koi female enjoy the big tank, as they are more mellow. My Marble male has become so beligerant, he reamins in solitary. My Golden Sunset female had to be rescued and placed in a Neon/Black Neon tank, where she resides as the Lady of the Manor.
