In my angel tank, I don't have much duplication of variety, and there doesn't seem much sign of pairing up, I realise it could be cos they're all the same sex, but could it be because they're different? Do angels prefer the same as themselves??

I think there is a tendency for them to pick partners that are similar to themselves, but it's not hard and fast, and the desire to mate generally means they'll pick the best mate available, rather than holding out for a better match.

In my experience they don't care if its same species a lot of my pairs are different some are with the same type
I think it depends if hey get on with each other and it helps i find to keep the temp at 28c as mine seem to want to spawn then  Very Happy
