As you say not very good photos at least you managed to upload them on to the site which is more than I can do at the moment. The news is that out of the 4 photos there are 3 males and 1 female. But that can not be right if you only have 2 Angels. So I'm afraid it is get stuck in and try and get a better photo to the 2 if that is possible. In the meantime I'll try to sort out the images for a better look.

Ohhh so might be a prospective pair then?? the first 3 are the same fish different views as best as I could manage, the last one is the second fish.

I'll try and catch them sleeping I might have more chance of a better picture! but thank you anyway!

Now it's making sense, you had me worried there.
If as you say the first 3 are the same fish (male) and the 4th is another then yep you have a pair.
The female being the last one you have shown.
Now it's up to you if you wish to breed from them.
Good luck on what ever yo decide.
Phil

Please don't let me put you off, that is not my intention. I'm here to help. From what I can see in your photos you have a very nice display. To me a nice display is not normally the correct environment to breed angelfish. If you are successful in reaching the egg stage you might not get any further. It might be helpful to read some of the topics on breeding. For me it is bare tanks with plain bottoms for breeding and rearing and a nice planted display tank to show of the best of the angles. It is virtually impossible to display angels and breed them all in the same tank. You will have to decide which way you want to go. If like most of us on this forum it's buy more tanks and join the breeders. Which ever way you go will be best for you, and good luck with the hobby.

Hi Phil,
Yes I realise that, I have a pair in a breeding tank, they keep spawning and get as far as wrigglers then they get eaten!! That was all I meant, The black ones have a while to go before they mature, so I shall persevere with my others for a while, and if still nothing I'll give them a rest and try the blacks.

Thanks for yours and everyones help, I'm really enjoying my re interest in tropical fish.
