New from Carlise
Hi, just joined up after deciding to close my Mbundu tank down and gone for a total change with Angels and a few tank mates.
I will most certainly be needing guidance as its a VERY long time since I last kept Angels in a community tank.
Not really interested in breeding though as I simply don't have the room. Love the massive variety available now but that is gonna cause me a lot of headaches, which do I choose to keep? I would love to hear from anyone up here with any thoughts or advice.
I will keep you informed how I get on as my first three fish seem to be fine and I have more to collect this weekend, better start trying to work out just how many fish I can keep in my 280 l tank.

Hi Bob, welcome to the forum
What type of setup are you going for? Wilds, a large mix of colours or a selection of a few colours? Should be lovely

Hi, I am not really sure! When I decided to go with Angels it was going to be all wild type silver and black, then I saw some fish selling on eBay and ordered them but have not collected them yet. I think they are Ghosts or maybe just silver, the pics were not good. Then I saw silver Angels with yellow heads at my LFS and bought them, they now have really intense blue Angels in stock but at £15 each I am a little cautious with a new set up.
Then I got on here and wow !!! Your Red Devil project looks to be gonna provide great colours, there are marbles, pearl scales, koi ..... The list seems almost endless.
When I first started fishkeeping about 45 years ago all I could get we're wild colours and very occasionally blacks. You people who do this breeding thing are really pushing the boundaries and producing fantastic fish, trouble is I can only have one tank.
Keep us informed on the development with those Red Devils though, I think the parents are fantastic fish so the young should get better and better.
Cheers, Bob.

Yes there is such a choice its hard knowing what colours to concentrat on , at the moment I am a bit stuck myself as to what to concentrate on breeding, as after counting up all af the Angels that are at breeding age in my fish house I reached 30 , that dosn't even include the younger ones that I have growing on for breeding projects....got some hard decisions to make .
I am awaiting the Red Devil project pair to spawn at the moment as mum is still young and has not get the hang of rearing fry yet, would be easier to remove any fry but that spoils the beauty of watching mum and dad looking after the kids so patience is the key.
