Look out for PFK
Have just spent several hours in the good company of Jeremy Gay (Editor of PFK) and Neil Hepworth, the PFK photographer.
Apparently the August issue of the magazine (on sale from July 11th) is to feature an article breeding angelfish by John Rundle, plus other angel related info. The front cover will feature a photo of one of my fish (don't know which yet!), plus a QR code, which when scanned will take you to a video of one of my tanks!
I got the impression that Jeremy hadn't fully appreciated the range of angel varieties that are now available, and he seemed particularily taken by my pearlscale smokey paraiba. I can't wait to see which fish gets to star on the front cover!

Very pleased for you Rob! We'd all better get some angel breeding done in anticipation of increased demand.......great pics of great fish in the mags usually creates a bit of a clamour at the shops.

Re: Look out for PFK
Let's hope so. I have a pair of platinum marble ghosts who's babies went free swimming just in time for the PFK visit, but all my other tanks are jam packed with various youngsters that are mostly still too small to sell. Unless we get a sales boom in the next month or so, it will be getting on for Christmas before I can contemplate puting another pair together! and then I'm really going to struggle to decide which pair that should be!great pics of great fish in the mags usually creates a bit of a clamour at the shops.

get out of things what hard work you put into them. and like myself and others the hours with your fish has paid of for you. Hope they put a few pages together to cover all aspects and different strains of angels that are out there with
todays breeders.

Re: Look out for PFK
Thank's for the kind comments, everyone
I must say that I'm excited to see what comes out in the magazine, he took one great shot of the female platinum marble spitting some babies back into the shoal, I hope they find a place to feature that!
It's worth emphasising :-your pics and fish are some of the best that i have seen,
So the photos in the magazine will be of my fish, but taken by Neil. I have to say I was very envious of all his equipment, starting with his EOS 5D mk II, a collection of lenses which would cost more in limbs than I possess, and a battery of flashes, tripods, battery packs. I tried to distract him into leaving them here, but to no avail!Have just spent several hours in the good company of Jeremy Gay (Editor of PFK) and Neil Hepworth, the PFK photographer.

Wow Sam, you spotted that within minutes of it being posted!
I'm impressed with the film of the breeding pair, somehow the video makes the others look smaller than they actually are, but it makes the tanks look bigger!

It was purely coincidence. I check the PFK website periodically throughout the day and it just happened to be there when I checked.
The images in the magazine should be very impressive, I can't wait to see them. I'm so keen to get some more angels now, lets hope it has the same effect on everyone that reads it.
I wanted to ask what the angel is at 40 sec?

Rob,
I actually received my copy in the post on Saturday. But I think that subscribers might get their copy early?
Anyhow, very nice photos.
I like the Smokey Blues. Had two but they got killed when that Knife Fish I had went on the rampage.
